Why Gaudi and What’s my role here?
I have always been passionate about alternative education approaches. When I first learned about Gaudi School’s philosophy and its child-centered, nature-integrated, and democratic environment, I immediately felt a strong connection. The freedom and responsibility given to students deeply resonated with my own beliefs about education. In my role here, I aim to bring my experience in Montessori and forest school pedagogy into practice, support students’ learning processes with creative, playful methods, and share cultural elements from my background. I also hope to inspire children through English and Turkish language, music, movement, and storytelling.
Education
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching and associate’s degree in Child Development. I also have a Montessori teaching certificate, a TESOL certificate, a teaching Turkish to Foreigners certificate, a Multicultural psychology certificate and training in forest school methodology. I believe in lifelong learning and plan to pursue further education in early childhood development.
Experience
I have worked as an English teacher in a kindergarten for a few months when I was a student in college. After graduated, I went United States as an aupair. As an aupair I worked with kids between 0-17 years. Cultural exchange and learning through living in a different culture is always a valuable experience for me. After the aupair program I came back to Turkey and worked as a special education teacher in a high school. Beyond formal work, I’ve organized community projects, supported village schools, and taken part in both educational and athletic volunteering events.
A little about me
I’m 27 years old and from Turkey. Turkish is my native language, but I am fluent in English and currently learning German. I’ve always had a deep interest in cultural exchange, nature, movement, and creative expression. In my free time, I enjoy singing, running, cooking, biking and creating informational content for social media. I’m passionate about making learning joyful and meaningful for children both in and outside the classroom.
